Paraguay has a trust problem.

The Facebook groups tell the story. Every week, hundreds of expats ask the same questions — who's a trustworthy agent? Which lawyer won't disappear with my retainer? Which contractor will actually finish the job?

The answers are always the same: scattered, anecdotal, contradictory — and full of scam warnings. There was no single place where honest, hard-working providers could build a verifiable track record, and where expats could find them with confidence.

A provider lists themselves

Any provider — real estate agent, immigration lawyer, contractor, banker, gestor — can create a free profile on Mantra. It starts blank. Zero reviews, zero points. Everyone begins equal.

We collect basic information: name, category, location, languages, and a brief description. No payment required to list. The profile is immediately searchable, but unlabeled — because trust hasn't been earned yet.

Step two
A client finds them and works together

Expats and locals browse Mantra by category, location, language, and Mantra score. They read existing reviews, check the transaction history, and reach out via the built-in inquiry form.

Then they work together. A property purchase. A residency application. A build. A bank account setup. Whatever the service — Mantra doesn't interfere in the work itself. That's between the two people.

Step three — the most important one
Both parties confirm the transaction

This is what makes Mantra different from every other review platform. Both the client and the provider must independently confirm the transaction happened.

The client submits a review. The provider receives a notification and confirms from their account. Only once both sides confirm does the review publish — and only then do Mantra points get awarded. No exceptions.

This makes it nearly impossible to fake. A provider cannot review themselves. A client cannot leave a review about someone they never worked with. A competitor cannot plant false negatives — because Mantra is positive-only. There is no mechanism to leave a bad review. Low scores simply mean fewer verified transactions.

⚠️ If a provider doesn't confirm within 7 days, Mantra's team reviews the case. Providers who consistently fail to confirm are flagged — and their visibility is reduced.
Step four
Points are awarded. Trust compounds.

Every confirmed transaction adds permanent Mantra points to the provider's profile. Points cannot be removed, purchased, or transferred. They are a permanent, tamper-proof ledger of real work done for real people.

As points accumulate, providers unlock higher tiers — Trusted, then Pillar — which unlock advertising and visibility options. But here's the key: you can't pay to skip the queue. You earn the points first. Then the visibility follows.

The providers at the top of Mantra's rankings earned every single point through honest work, confirmed by the people they served.

🏛 The Pillar tier — the highest level — requires 750+ Mantra points. At the time of writing, only 48 providers in Paraguay have reached this level. Their names are there because they deserve to be.

Every other review platform on earth has a single-sided review. One person writes it. It publishes. The provider has no say. The result? Fake positives, competitor-planted negatives, and no way to know what's real. Mantra solves this at the root.

Why we built this

We came to Paraguay, like many of you, drawn by the promise of a simpler life, a welcoming country, and genuine opportunity. And like many of you, we ran into the wall — the Facebook group question that gets 40 different answers, the contractor who disappeared, the lawyer who quoted one price and charged another.

We asked ourselves: why does every other industry have a trusted review system — but expats moving to South America have nothing?

The answer wasn't that the good providers didn't exist. They absolutely exist. Paraguay is full of honest, hardworking agents, lawyers, builders, and advisors. They just had no way to prove it — and no platform designed to surface them.

Is Mantra free to use?
Yes — browsing, leaving reviews, and creating a basic provider profile are all completely free. Paid tiers (Trusted and Pillar) unlock additional visibility features, but they require earned Mantra points first.
Can I buy Mantra points?
No. This is a core principle of the platform and will never change. Points are earned through confirmed transactions only. If you see anyone claiming to sell Mantra points, please report it to us immediately.
What if a provider refuses to confirm?
If a provider doesn't confirm within 7 days, our team manually reviews the case. Providers who regularly fail to confirm lose visibility on the platform. Honest providers have every reason to confirm — it earns them points.
Can providers leave reviews for themselves?
Absolutely not. Reviews must come from a separate verified user account. Our system detects and removes self-reviews. Providers who attempt this lose their profile immediately — no appeals.
Why are there no negative reviews?
By design. Negative reviews invite gaming, defamation risk, and personal danger in some markets. A provider's score is determined entirely by confirmed positive transactions — a low score simply means a short track record, not a bad one.
Is Mantra available outside Paraguay?
Paraguay is our starting point. We're actively expanding to neighboring countries and will roll out across South America as the community grows. Global expansion follows after that.
Can a competitor harm a provider's score?
No. There is no negative review mechanism. A competitor cannot reduce a provider's score. The only way to affect a provider's Mantra score is through confirmed, legitimate transactions — which competitors cannot manufacture.
What does a Pillar provider mean?
Pillar is the highest Mantra tier, requiring 750+ earned points. It means this provider has completed and had confirmed dozens of real transactions over time. It is the strongest trust signal Mantra offers.
